Associate Professor, Dr. Amrita Basu has been awarded a $1,000,000, 2-year grant from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Biohub to lead work on “Integrated Organoid Systems for Immunotherapy Toxicity.”
This project focuses on developing advanced organoid models to study treatment response in live tissue—contributing to a more precise understanding of immunotherapy toxicity and how it can be anticipated, measured, and ultimately reduced.
The work is part of the Biohub’s broader initiative to advance spatiotemporal omics technologies, and brings together a cross-institutional team, including Jennifer Rosenbluth (University of California, San Francisco) and Amy Herr (University of California, Berkeley).
